Friends and Ambassadors of Education for Sharing

In this time of uncertainty, we believe in the importance of quality education and strong communities. In Education for Sharing (E4S) we work to create a fun and transformative education that allows children to have a better future.

I want to also share with you that at E4S we work and practice empathy so that all children, young people, parents and teachers around the world have a global heart, full of desire to provide love and support from a distance to different contexts around the world. Therefore,  we are devastated by the deplorable actions that have surfaced over the last several weeks in the United States.

We mourn George Floyd, Ahmaud Abery, Breonna Taylor, and all of the lives lost due to the unjust killings in the United States throughout history.

Racism is not a distant memory. Year after year, we witness inherent injustice to the Black community in the United States. As a country, we have seen countless efforts to create change, but it never seems to fully take hold. It is time to stand up. It is time to listen. It is time to demand justice. Enough is enough. The time is now.

Education for Sharing (E4S) is committed to joining the effort to create monumental change. We believe change comes from educating minds and educating hearts. In 2014, E4S first launched its programs to students in the United States. Since then, the majority of the students served by our programs have been low-income students of color in Title I schools. Our core is to empower, educate, and unite global citizens who believe in leading a life promoting civic values such as empathy and inclusion.

We will keep on working tireless so that all children in the United States will grow up to live in a country without hate - a country that is proud of diversity - a country that stands for justice - where everyone has the same opportunity.

DONATE to continue generating useful content and programs for girls, boys, parents, teachers and educators around the world to thrive together, no matter where we are.

Your help is essential to achieve this!

I wish each of you and your families well and hope that you continue to find peace and joy.

With respect, great appreciation and affection,

Dina Buchbinder Auron

President and Founder of Education for Sharing

First ever Global Advisory Board Meeting

On June 11th, 2020 E4S launched its first ever Global Advisory Board meeting.  Thanks to the vision, trust and support of Mr. Eduardo Ramos-Gomez, Chairman of the Global Advisory Board and the auspice of our US Board of Directors, a magic group of 32 stellar individuals from every corner of the globe are starting to envision how to make a difference together.

The E4S team is grateful, excited and eager to work together with this freshly appointed Global Advisory Board to offer, better and more innovative and human, value-based

experiences to children so they can grow by learning to care about others, and know they have an important role to play for this world from wherever they are, today.

The future is uncertain by definition, but that is precisely why we need to build global hearts more than ever before. Whether it’s coronavirus, global warming or another issue confronting all of us, supporting children’s emotional needs and nurturing their global hearts and desire to help others during these challenging times and in the aftermath will be transcendental.

WISE Awards 2020 Finalists

Education for Sharing was selected as a finalist in one of the most important awards in the education sector, the WISE Awards 2020. Among more than 600 initiatives from around the world, E4S represents Mexico as one of three Latin American projects that will be participating in the final phase of these awards that will announce their winners in October.

We are proud to be recognized for our playful methodology that prioritizes the emotions of children through meaningful education that is revolutionizing the world.

E4S present in the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN)

SDSN selected E4S as one of the educational initiatives that will be present within its Project Bank in Mexico. This platform aims to articulate and connect different sectors of society with social causes to channel technical support and resources.

By being part of this project, we will have the opportunity to participate in co-creation and
training workshops with different civil society entities in Mexico and globally.

Caribu and E4S

E4S just started conversations with Caribu. Caribu is the #1 app for children ages 0-13 to
read, draw, and do activities in an interactive video-call with family and friends. Caribu has
extended the FREE and UNLIMITED use of their interactive video-calling platform and in-
app library for the summer. They launched #CampCaribu, the world’s first summer reading program that kids can experience with other friends and family on a video-call. #CampCaribu includes 100 days of activities, featured books, and weekly themed reading categories with challenges and prizes. New Allies Join E4S

Even in a contingency period, we continue to look for ways to form better citizens. To
achieve this, we have established links with highly committed allies in the business, civil and government sectors.

Today, more than ever, it is essential that children and their families know how to use
Information and Communication Technologies responsibly. Therefore, together with AT&T Mexico, we are developing capsules and educational resources on digital citizenship that will also enable them to strengthen their agency of change.

Likewise, with the Lego Foundation we have created activities to implement with early
childhood children in their homes. We have also designed cards and videos that are shared with our network of basic education teachers in line with the Mexican government's Learn at Home strategy.

On the other hand, through the Ashoka network of social entrepreneurs, we have had the
opportunity to give webinars to members of different companies - among them, Kersia - with the aim of providing them with playful tools to maintain and strengthen their physical and social-emotional well-being while they are at home.

Finally, on May 19 and 20 we participated in the first OECD "Global Forum on Education and Skills 2030"; where we discussed with other stakeholders the challenges and opportunities that the emergence of COVID-19 has brought to the educational field.

E4S reinvents itself and launches more initiatives to perform

E4S students exchange experiences in Chihuahua,

Mexico and New York City, USA

Despite the fact that the current situation has made it difficult to carry out activities in a traditional way, E4S builds bridges to guarantee children unique experiences. In this sense, as part of the activation dynamics, a video call was made connecting children from Chihuahua and New York City, with the purpose of exchanging ideas, getting to know each other, sharing curious facts and traditions of their city, as well as commenting on activities they have carried out during the time they have been at home.

The US team has also maintained a close relationship with the RedHook Neighborhood School in Brooklyn, New York. In addition to the exchange experience, we led an Arts and Craft class, where students had the chance to do something fun and creative while being at home.
